The entrepreneurial spirit is alive in the air. Many talented individuals are finding ways to make well-being and productivity their number one priority. But from where do they derive such inspiration? Ayooluwa shared that in the daily hustle, she found the will to carry on with her passion, devotion and hard work.
Hi Ayooluwa, thank you for being a part of Givviepoints Vendor Spotlight. Could you tell us why you started your business?
I started my business because I wanted to be independent,but at the same time, I had a thing for.. for making people happy. I feel fulfilled when people are always smiling and saying thank you for this that you do. It makes me feel like I am impactful, and for that I could turn my impact into something that is making money for me at the same time I want to impact people.
And what was your most challenging moment in running your business?
My most challenging moment… waasss getting people to trust what I do, and … also getting capital to start up, it was really, really challenging for me.
Did you ever think of quitting?
Yes! I think of quitting 1001 times, but when you have passion for something you find your way back to it, so I’ve ever, I’ve thought of quitting errmm a lot of times. Well I’m here today and I have not quit, hehehe.
What motivate you most about the business?
So, what motivates me most about my business is knowing how to do it well, I mean what motivate me is knowing how to do it really well..and for me my business (cake making) for me is, at first, was making children happy, when children see cakes they are always happy and it gives me joy, so later in life I got to discover that even nobody, I mean everybody wants to be spoiled, even older ones, so cake making for older ones too, surprising them with the cake too also makes them happy. So that really motivate me and you know also the pay motivates me, knowing that you will get a good pay for that hehehe(laughs) motivates me too.
What should customers expect from you this year?
Customers should expect , erm, growth from me this year, how I do my things this year, because I put in a lot as for, for my business to be established. I also put a lot into learning more from bigger people that are way ahead of me, so they should expect more growth! I’m currently taking a class that costed me alot of moneyyy, a lot, six digits hehehe. Six figure lots of money, so yes I’m putting my all into growth, so they should expect more growth from me and more goodies, hehehehe (laughs)from me
How did you hear about Givviepoints?
Yeah, I heard about Givviepoints from a friend of mine, and he told me that I could use it, erm, I could use it to pitch my business, I mean get reviews in some easy ways that will help my business grow.
How has it helped your business?
Erm…to be honest I believe that Givviepoints can help my business, but I’ve really not used it…I have an account on Givviepoints, but I believe it can help my business if I commit to it, which is, I just need motivation and time I think.
Would you recommend it to other businesses?
Yeah, I think that’s, yeah I would recommend it to other businesses because, I like you guys customer service, you guys keep tabs on people who use your, erm, who use your app, so yeah I can recommend it hundred percent.
What’s your word of advice for businesses
My word of advice for businesses, you know grow, do not stay where you are, grow, grow, grow, find time to grow yeah, you would be doing a lot, yea it can be overwhelming but find time to grow, and do not ever give up, if you believe that, that business is going to take you place,s then you have no reasons to give up, so yes!
